My friend engagement

Yesterday, my one friend come at my home and said that there parents had fixed her engagement date which is held in next month. Now I am really excited about it but also confused. Because I have no idea which kinds of preparation I can do for my wonderful event of life. So all of you suggest me which kinds of things my friend should do for this event?
